Rumble On The Beach wurde Mitte 1985 von Andy, Ohlly und Marc gegründet. Durchschlagender Erfolg: Ihre Rockabilly-Version des Prince-Klassikers Purple Rain! Das Debüt-Album ‚Rumble Rat’ erreichte 1987 die oberen Plätze der Indie-Charts. Selbst die Teenie-Zeitschrift ‚Bravo’ schrieb über sie.
Plattenveröffentlichungen und Tourneen durch Europa und Canada/USA folgten, inklusive einer Tour mit den legendären Stray Cats. Die vorliegende CD im Digipak befasst sich mit den frühen Jahren 1985-88 von der Entstehung bis zu den ersten großen Erfolgen. Das integrierte Booklet zeigt nebst vieler Anekdoten, die Rumble-Schlagzeuger Marc in seinen Linernotes intensiv erzählt, auf 54 bebilderten Seiten die Geschehnisse, die Geschichte, sowie die Hintergründe.

•    As a bonus the CD contains all Radio Bremen live tracks recorded at the club ‚Clip‘, April 19, 1986! Rumble On The Beach were founded in mid-1985 by Andy, Ohlly and Marc. Their first big independent hit was a Rockabilly version of Prince’s Pop classic, Purple Rain! Their debut-album ‘Rumble Rat’ reached #6 on the Indie Charts in 1987. Even the popular German teenage magazine ‚Bravo‘ wrote articles about them.
Record releases and tours throughout Europe and Canada/USA followed, including a tour with the legendary Stray Cats. This CD Digipak picks out the early years of the band, from the beginnings up to their peak, 1985-88. The accompanying booklet shows the whole history on its 54 pages with many pictures and photos. In his liner notes, Rumble On The Beach drummer Marc tells the story and shares his memories intensively, including some anecdotes and background stories.
