\nThese recordings were demos for bluesman Jimmy Reed, and were originally issued in 1961 as by Willie B.
\nDowntown Nashville one night, Darrell McCall met blues legend Jimmy Reed. He got to jam with Reed at one of many sessions he enjoyed with other musicians at apartments and even at Tootsie\u2019s Orchid Lounge. Reed drove from place to place, pulling a trailer. He\u2019d park it in downtown Nashville, get drunk, sometimes wind up in jail while the cops towed away the car and trailer. \u201cI wrote Bad Mouthin\u2019<\/em> and This I Gotta See<\/em>, and I called Jim, Wayne and Charlie, and demoed it to take down to Jimmy Reed. Of course when I got downtown to find Jimmy he was long gone. I never did get it to him.\u201c

\nDiese Aufnahmen entstanden als Demos f\u00fcr die Blueslegende Jimmy Reed und wurden erstmals 1961 unter dem Namen Willie B. ver\u00f6ffentlicht.<\/p>\n

Darrell McCall<\/h3>\n

Eines Nachts traf Darrell McCall den legend\u00e4ren Bluesmusiker Jimmy Reed in der Innenstadt von Nashville. Man verabredete sich zu einer spontanen Jamsession, eine von vielen mit anderen Musikern in Wohnungen und sogar bei Tootsie\u2019s Orchid Lounge, bei denen McCall mitgewirkt hat. Reed fuhr damals von Ort zu Ort und zog einen Wohnwagen hinter sich her.
\nEr parkte f\u00fcr gew\u00f6hnlich in Nashvilles Innenstadt, betrank sich und landete manchmal im Gef\u00e4ngnis, w\u00e4hrend die Polizei seinen Wagen mit Anh\u00e4nger abschleppte. \u201cIch schrieb Bad Mouthin\u2019<\/em> und This I Gotta See<\/em> und rief Jim, Wayne und Charlie an. Wir machten Demoaufnahmen, die ich dann zu Jimmy Reed bringen wollte. Als ich schlie\u00dflich in der Innenstadt ankam und nach ihm suchte musste ich feststellen, dass Jimmy l\u00e4ngst weitergezogen war. Ich hab\u2019s nie geschafft, ihm die Aufnahmen zu geben.\u201c
