In der Juliausgabe des Billboard-Magazins von 1995 beschrieb Chet Flippo in seiner Coverstory eine \u201cneue Szene\u201d, die \u201cin der Music City von selbst entstanden\u201d sei. Ermutigt durch die Er\u00f6ffnung des neu gestalteten Ryman Auditoriums im Jahre 1994 zogen an der Tradition festhaltende Countrymusiker wie BR5-49 in die Honky Tonks der Lower Broad und begr\u00fcndeten eine lebendige Szene, die sowohl Kids als auch \u00e4ltere Typen anzog und die eine bis heute andauernde Renaissance von Downtown Nashville anregte. 1996 kamen BR5-49 nach Deutschland, wo sie vom S\u00fcdwestfunk gefilmt und mitgeschnitten wurden.<br \/>\nDiese Aufnahmen dokumentieren die Hochphase der Band und wurden bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Als Erg\u00e4nzung zur DVD kommt die CD mit vier Bonusst\u00fccken, die ein paar Monate sp\u00e4ter in Kumamoto, Japan, aufgenommen wurden.Die eigenen Kompositionen sind wirklich stark. BR5-49 konnte eigene Songs wie Bettie Bettie und Little Ramona (Gone Hillbilly Nuts) mit Klassikern wie Gone, Gone, Gone oder Cherokee Boogie mixen. Niemandem fiel auf, da\u00df zwischen beiden Epochen vierzig Jahre lagen. Die neuen Songs klingen wie Klassiker und die Klassiker klingen neu!
